For a minimum of one year your status of membership is associate. This first year of membership is a probationary period. The Executive Committee of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club will review your membership at the end of the probationary period they may decide not to renew your membership or to offer you full membership.
After a minimum period of one year the Executive Committee will review your status of membership, and if you have been partaking in all Pitch & Putt activities in particular playing in competitions within the club and conducting yourself in a proper manner they may elect you to full membership. Until you are elected to Full Membership status, you may not attend the A.G.M or any E.G.M.
Renewal of all membership fees must be paid by 31st of January each year, failure to meet this requirement will lead to a fine being imposed from the 1st February of that year to the final date of renewals on the 03rd Sunday of February. Failure to comply with these requirements will automatically lead to the lapsing of your membership of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club and subsequently you having to re-apply for membership.
Members are expected to dress in a neat fashion both on and off the course and in the clubhouse and obey all the rules of both the Pitch & Putt Union of Ireland and Glenville Pitch & Putt Club. It is important to be aware you mush wear golf shoes while practicing or playing Pitch & Putt at all time on the course. When playing in outside competitions you must bring your current registration card with you and be mindful of the fact that you are also representing Glenville Pitch & Putt Club. You may invite 2 visitors to play pitch & putt with you provided there are no competitions taking place. They must be properly attired and pay a green fee as directed by the Executive Committee this applies to Glenville and our par 3 course Ballymana.
You may invite 2 guest into the Clubhouse provided they are properly dressed and in your company during their visit to the Club. Any of your guests may not use the bar and games room facilities on more than 3 separate occasions in any one-year unless by special permission of the Executive Committee. All visitors must sign in at the door and be counter signed by you. You are responsible for their behaviour while they are in the Club and due respect must be shown to the bar staff and when requested to leave at nights end you should do so.
Time sheets are in operation for most of our major competitions with the option of playing either on a Saturday or a Sunday, in regard to the Gents competitions and Thursday evenings, in regard to Ladies competitions. The competition Secretary displays all the relevant time sheets and other notices in regard to outside competitions on the notice board in the Clubhouse.
On registration with Glenville for the first time a member, shall be granted a provisional Handicap by the Club. The member shall retain this handicap until (4) stroke play competition cards have been played. It is in your interest to play these cards as soon as possible so that the handicap Secretary can provide you with a permanent handicap. (Exception where current and lapsed PPUI handicaps apply)
You may use the bar and all indoor game facilities at any time subject to the rules and regulations laid down by the Executive Committee of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club.
You may partake in the playing of Darts, Pool, Table Tennis and organised card games within the club subject to the Rules and Regulations laid down by the Executive Committee.
You may invite two guests to partake and use the Bar and Games Room facilities of the Glenville Pitch & Putt Club provided they are in your company at all times during their visit to the club. ANY OF YOUR GUESTS MAY NOT VISIT THE CLUB ON MORE THAN 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS ANY ONE YEAR unless by special permission of the Executive Committee of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club. Any member or visitor who causes problems or wilfully damage club property he or she will be automatically suspended from the premises and grounds of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club until the matter has been dealt with by the Executive Committee. They will also be required to make good any expense incurred by the Glenville Pitch & Putt Club to the value of the damage caused and the fixing of same.
General Bar Regulations must be adhered to all times and the bar steward on duty is responsible for you and your guests leaving Glenville when requested to do so.
All Members are expected to dress in a neat fashion in the Bar, Games Room and Clubhouse at all times.
The Executive Committee of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club reserve the rights to refuse entry to the premises or grounds of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club to any member or visitor without explanation if they feel it is in the interest of the members to do so. They may also suspend or terminate membership of any member at any time. Any member may appeal this decision within 21 days and seek a personal hearing in this regard, but the decision of the Executive Committee will be final.
The current Social Membership fee is €50 for both Ladies and Gents and is payable by the 31st January each year failure to meet this requirement will lead to a fine of €10.00 being imposed from the 01st February of that year to the final date for renewals 03rd Sunday in February. Failure to comply with these requirements will automatically lead to the lapsing of your membership of Glenville Pitch & Putt Club and subsequently you will have to re-apply for Membership.
